For groups parties and meetings large and small
The Standbridge Centre offers bookable spaces for parties, events, groups and meetings both large and small. Our main hall is available for groups and parties of up to 80 people, while our smaller conferencing and meeting facilities cater for groups of up to 30 people.

The freedom to enjoy healthy takes on the food you love – like curry and rice, burgers, pasta dishes without counting a single calorie.
We’ll help you to understand yourself as a slimmer and give you the know-how to identify deep-rooted patterns and the confidence to commit to healthy new habits, for life.
Crigglestone Daycare
Crigglestone Daycare is a well-established, independent, not-for-profit, local nursery for children aged 0 to 5 years old. We have three separate rooms so that children aged 0 to 2, 2 to 3 and 3 to 5 years old can explore, learn and develop safely and independently in their own space. All three rooms have direct access to a secure and stimulating outdoor area, and being based at Standbridge Community Centre, we enjoy access to the grounds. This enables us to go on nature walks, run on the field, shade under the trees and give us space to ride our bikes safely in a large open space!
SSD Dance School
We offer a variety of Dance Classes, also Ladies Exercise & Fitness including Freestyle, Cheerleading and Ballet in our newly renovated studio within Standbridge Lane Community Centre, delivered in a safe and calm environment.
In addition to this we offer regular performance opportunities to all students in the school including an annual showcase, IDTA Examinations and a Presentation evening.
Our aim is to ensure all students develop their confidence, dance skills and technique but most importantly enjoy the experience and have FUN.
7th Wakefield Girl Guides
You’ll never be stuck for something to do in Guides. Whether you want to dedicate your time to exploring the outdoors, really focus on your hobbies, or challenge yourself with something new, you’ll find something at Guides that suits you.
You can work towards interest badges – about photography, geocaching, human rights and more, develop life skills with skills builders and work hard to earn unique awards like the Commonwealth award, the Guide Gold award and the six Theme awards, which will really help you at school and later in life.
Yorkshire Volunteers
The Yorkshire Volunteers band performs in concert and marching band formations throughout the UK and Europe. Maintaining the long traditions of the Yorkshire Volunteers, the bands add a touch
of pomp and circumstance to any event from traditional summer bandstand concerts to country shows with everything in between.
The Friendship Group
The friendship group provides fun and friendship to the over 65s over a cup of tea and a slice of cake each week. Meeting every Wednesday between 1-3pm, everyone is welcome.
